Garage Controller with Integrated Bottle Opener

A compact redesign of a traditional garage remote, combining everyday functionality with an integrated bottle opener.

Early concept sketches exploring form, button placement, and usability.

The focus was on creating a simple, intuitive interaction while integrating a secondary function into a compact object.

The design was developed through physical prototyping and digital modeling in Rhino.

Iterations focused on improving ergonomics, refining proportions, and ensuring the bottle opener function worked seamlessly within the form.

Final 3D printed prototype demonstrating scale, grip, and usability in hand.

As this is a functioning remote, the internal components would ultimately define the exact dimensions. In this project, the proportions were based on an existing circuit board as a reference.

Workshop Project
AMD Akademie Mode & Design Hamburg

This project explores the idea that imperfection can hold both aesthetic and structural value. Using leftover wood pieces of varying sizes, I intentionally constructed an irregular base that appears unstable, yet supports a balanced and organic seating surface.

Process & Structure

Sketch explorations focused on balance, layered construction, and reclaimed materials. The irregular base structure contrasts with the curved seating surface to create both stability and visual tension.

Workshop construction process completed under instructor supervision using industrial woodworking equipment. The structure was manually assembled with reclaimed wood pieces, screws, nails, and drilled connections.

Handheld Vacuum Cleaner – Marker Rendering Study

A marker rendering study focused on form, proportion, and material expression using traditional visualization techniques.

Hand Sketches – Observation & Form Studies

These sketches come from observing people in daily life and experimenting with simple forms.

I enjoy watching how people move and interact, and drawing helps me understand that better. At the same time, I use quick form studies to improve my sense of structure and space.

 Visual Communication Poster Study

Based on the theme of “design obsessions” in a Visual Communication course, this project explores my interest in medieval portraits through typography, layered imagery, and editorial composition.

Using a portrait photograph I took at the Getty Museum, I developed a fictional “partner wanted” poster in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
